Craft Your Altar + Bespoke Ritual Object

Altars, tools, and sacred objects crafted with intention, ceremony, and power can help us focus our minds, bodies, and hearts, bring us closer to seasonal and cyclical changes of nature and ourselves, and help us understand and come to peace with hard things we face in life. These sessions support you in creating your own altar or objects of power or, alternatively, give us guidance for the creation of an altar object on your behalf, for you to keep and use in your practice. Whether you are a seasoned altar builder and already familiar with creating ritual objects or are entirely new to this work and want some skilled guidance, this offering can help you move closer to your goals and deeper into yourself.

The Experience

• A Multi-part process:

  • Foundational session(s) focusing on your emotional, physical, mental and spiritual states, health and wellbeing, and intentions for your altar or ritual object. Multiple sessions may be important for deeper understanding and preparation, and we will do what is best for you.

  • Your initial session might include guidance for your altar or object craft (if you are self-crafting at home), but more commonly these come at future sessions, depending on your needs and what feels right at the time. Supported ritual-object crafting in which I am present for the process is a separate session, so that we can gather materials and prepare ourselves, once the intention is set. We will then meet and set ceremonial space for you to create your object.

  • I take the time necessary when crafting sacred-objects on behalf of others. If you have asked me to create one for you this means that, unless there is an urgent need and a timeline we’ve agreed to in advance, your object may not be ready for a month or more. This is to allow the process to unfold with care, intention, right timing, and centeredness. I view my role as an honor requiring my respect of the process, the materials, and the energies at play and I do not rush. Your object will be made with deep reverence and come to you cleansed, imbued with the intention you’ve provided, and blessed in ritual (unless you have requested that these steps not be taken).

  • Items ritually crafted on your behalf may be mailed, picked up in person (porch pick-up), or passed to you during a session.

  • A separate session (optional) for “witnessing” is something many find meaningful, when they have done their altar-work or object-craft privately. Having your process and art seen, acknowledged, and known by another once you have had time to be in full presence with it can provide a much needed reflection of the what we experience when doing this deep work. These follow-up sessions are often beneficial for integration but are not required and you choose if you want this as part of your process.

  • Some individuals may wish to repeat their process as a series of altars or ritual objects (on their own or with my support), reinforcing, renewing, and honoring their intentions and experiences.

  • Each session is booked separately and reciprocity for this work varies. I ask that you offer what is worth to you.

NOTE: Athena, our family’s cat, often joins clients in the healing studio. Please come prepared if you need special supports for feline contact or proximity.
